Another way that advertisement industries have utilised the development of technology is through Artificial Intelligence. This allows companies to customise their adverts to further engage viewers as well as improving the tailoring of their products as AI improves the accuracy and relevance of the customization. This massively benefits the advertisement industry because it gives businesses a competitive advantage because higher quality adverts makes the brand be perceived as more premium which increases hype and customer retention as well customers developing more trust with brands in this industry because better quality adverts reduce the sense of 'false advertisement' because customers can product details easier which improves the trust and relationship between the business and the consumer. Additionally, audiences are able to access this technology in a variety of ways. Firstly through television, nowadays TV ads broadcast in 4K and programmes can be streamed in 4K resolution as well. Streaming services like Netflix, amazon prime, Disney + and Youtube all support 4K resolution and can be accessed by audiences who want to stream high quality videos and films.
Marketing:
One way that advertisement industries have utilised the development of technology is through hashtags. This is because on social media platforms, people can add hashtags to their videos in order to tailor the video to their intended target audience to create publicity from the desired group. Another way this can be done is through influencer sponsorships. this is because influencers have a large following so whatever they post will get instant views. so people will choose to market their products through an influencer sponsorship so they can gain quick publicity which is also relatable. The hugely benefits the advertisement industry as a whole, because brands are able to target niche audiences that are relevant to their business model, this is done through nice hashtags or specific influencer sponsorships if they can relate to the business. this helps businesses reach their target audiences even better which can improve customer relationship and improve reputation. Audiences can access hashtags and influencer adverts through social media platforms such as instagram, tiktok, twitter and facebook. this is because these specific platforms allow hashtags to be written under posts as well as being the most popular locations for influencer activity and engagement due to these platforms having the largest audiences for these influencers.
Distribution:
Developments in technology have benefitted distribution. This is due to wireless internet such as mobile data. This means that adverts can be accessed anywhere at any time such as outside on a walk, sitting in a restaurant or just at home. Another way is through streaming platforms such as netflix or youtube. this is where products are distributed during ad breaks in real time delivering the product idea straight to the viewer. It can be delivered faster and more often and customers can click on it to access the product. This has greatly benefitted the advertisement industry as a whole because brands are able to promote whenever because it will reach customers from anywhere at any time meaning brands can now increase their level of advertising which will create more hype around the business with more public visibility which can improve sales.
